K-STATE DANCE PROGRAM PRESENTS WINTERDANCE 2008 DEC. 4-6
MANHATTAN -- The Kansas State University dance program will present WinterDance 2008 at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4-6, with a matinee at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 6. All performances will be in Nichols Theater.
This year's performance will include faculty works, student works and special performances of traditional African social dances and work by guest artist Maurice Fraga.
Fraga has performed with such noted dance groups as Ben Munisteri Dance, David Parker and the Bang Group, the Kevin Wynn Collection, Michael Foley Dance, Creach/Company, the Tiffany Mills Company and the Mark Morris Dance Group. He also has danced for the acclaimed company O Vertigo in Canada. In addition to his performance work in the U.S. and Canada, he also freelances with the Dublin, Ireland, company Fluxusdance.
Tickets can be purchased at the McCain Box Auditorium office weekdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. or at the Little Theater box office in the K-State Student Union from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. weekdays. Tickets also can be ordered by phone by calling 785-532-6428 during McCain box office hours.
