K-STATE CHAPTER OF PHI KAPPA PHI SELECTS FALL 2008 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
MANHATTAN -- Five Kansas State University students have been selected to receive fall 2008 scholarships from the K-State chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, a national honor society.
Recipients of the $750 scholarships were selected based on grade point average, honors and awards received, community involvement, letters of recommendation, and a career objective statement addressing how their education and experiences at K-State support their objectives.
Scholarship winners include:
James Swanson, senior in chemical engineering and premedicine, Arkansas City; Paul Folger, fourth-year student in architecture, Derby; Leah Kuhlmann, senior in biology and premedicine, Kensington; Rebecca Bush, senior in history, Pratt; and Nicole Wayant, senior in geography and mathematics, Topeka.
Scholarship recipients will be honored at the Phi Kappa Phi fall reception at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, in the Flint Hills Room at the K-State Student Union.
