& Consumer Sciences Sheran Cramer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, University of Nebraska. She holds a Ph.D. in Human and Community Resources from the University of Nebraska and a Masters of Science in Home Management and Family Economics from Iowa State University. Prior to coming to the University of Nebraska, Dr. Cramer held a lectureship at the University of Hawaii. Recent research interests include retirement, web-based education learning strategies, economic issues of Latino immigrants and developing alternative measures of poverty. She received the University Distinguished teaching Award two times and the Charman Oustanding Professor award. Additionally she was recognized by the College for outstanding advising. Dr. Cramer received the Nebraska Association of Family & Consumer Science, Leader of the year award in 2000 and the Distinguished Educator YWCA Award in 1996. She held the University of Nebraska Omaha Diamond Professorship from 1999-2001. She is a member of the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education, American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, Phi Upsilon Omicron, Kappa Omicron Nu and Kappa Delta Phi. more

Development and Family Science Margaret Fitzgerald is an Associate Professor in the Department of Child Development and Family Science at North Dakota State University. She received her Ph.D. in 1997 from Iowa State University. At NDSU, she teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in financial planning and public policy. She received the James Lebedeff Endowed Professorship, is a member of NDSU Teaching Academy and is a Fellow in the Faculty Institute for Excellence in Learning. As a member of the Family Business Research Group (NE-167/NC-1030 projects), she has been conducting research on family businesses for the past several years. Topics of study include copreneurs, or husbands and wives who operate businesses together, gender and management issues, and business social responsibility. She is a member of the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education, the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship and the International Family Enterprise Research Academy. more

Development and Family Science Gregory F. Sanders, Professor, Child Development and Family Science, and Associate Dean, College of Human Development and Education, teaches graduate and undergraduate courses with a focus on family science and conducts research in the areas of family relationships and later life families including caregiving, stepgrandparenting, and the quality of later life family relationships. In his role as Associate Dean, Dr. Sanders provides leadership in building capacities in technology and research. He has published and presented nationally on building technology and distance education capacities. He has been a part of the Great Plains IDEA for since 2000 and participated in a number of distance education faculty development projects. more

Sharpe, Ph.D., CFP®, CRPS®, CRPS®, is an Associate Professor in the Personal Financial Planning Department at the University of Missouri, the Certified Financial Planner™ Program Director and Director of Graduate Studies. Her courses include Assessing the American Dream, Tax Planning, Employee Benefits and Retirement Planning, and Family in the Economy. Her research centers on family economic issues such as consumer spending patterns, impact of debt on financial security, and the financial challenges of having a child with autism. She has served on the board of the Association of Financial Counseling and Planning Educators and the American Council on Consumer Interests and was a member of Education Task Force for the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. more

She received her Ph.D. degree in 1988 from Iowa State University. Pat has taught courses in personal and family finance, August 8, 2008ing, housing finance, and investments. Her areas of research interest include impact of financial education on participants' knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors. more
