Janine Hansen is campus coordinator for the Family Financial Planning program at Montana State University (MSU). She grew up in Montana and received her bachelor’s degree from MSU. She has worked at the university for over 20 years and can truly call MSU her home.
In her capacity as the campus coordinator, Hansen’s number one priority is to ensure that students have a positive experience as a distance student in the program. She serves as a liaison to various campus offices and resources for students taking classes through the Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance. She also coordinates the registration process and assists students with questions regarding the application process. Hansen says, “The best part of my job is the contact with students and making them feel part of the university even if they never have the opportunity to visit campus.” Outside of work, she can be found exploring the back roads of Montana or cheering on the MSU Bobcats.
