Biography

Kathryn Harth works on the management team for Great Plains IDEA. Her responsibilities include coordinating branding, production of recruitment materials, and web presence, as well as coordinating the annual conference.

Prior to joining Great Plains IDEA, Harth worked as a meeting planner through the Kansas State University Global Campus coordinating conferences for higher education entities across the country, including the Academic Chairpersons Conference, the American Society for Rickettsiology, the Society for Thermal Medicine, and the Great Plains IDEA annual conference. Before working in higher education, Harth was a middle school language arts teacher in Emporia, Kan., Atchison, Kan., and Denver, Colo.

Harth volunteers as an advisor for the Silver Key Sophomore Honorary at Kansas State University, is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, volunteers on the advisory council for the K-State School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, and serves as a National Vice President on the board of directors for Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority.

In her free time, Harth enjoys traveling, yoga, cooking, reading, and belly dancing. She lives in Manhattan, Kan., with her husband (Cory), dog (Honey), and cat (Elvira).
