Lawrence Ganong is a professor and co-chair of Human Development and Family Science and professor of Nursing at the University of Missouri. He has co-authored over 220 journal articles and book chapters as well as10 books. He and Marilyn Coleman have just completed their 10th book, which focuses on step-family relationships. His primary research program has focused on what post-divorce family members, especially in step-families, do to develop satisfying and effective relationships. He is a fellow in both the National Council on Family Relations and the Gerontological Society of America.
