Once you’re admitted

Get acquainted with your program.

To view the projected schedule of courses in your program, visit the Course Planner. Check it often for updates. While the course planner is an excellent tool, your academic advisor is your best resource when choosing classes.

Prepare financially.

The Office of Student Financial Assistance and/or the Military and Veteran’s Affairs Office on your campus can help you plan for investing in your education.

Complete new student tasks.

Your campus coordinator can help you complete required new student activities:

Connect with your academic advisor.

Your academic advisor assists you with all academic decisions from course selection to planning your path to graduation.

Enroll in classes.

Once you’ve selected courses with your academic advisor, officially enroll through the student information system at your home university. Your campus coordinator can help you navigate the system.

Visit the Great Plains IDEA Student Success Center.

This is your one-stop shop for resources to support your academic and student experience. Need writing tips? Got it covered. Need library help?  Look no further. Want to maximize your time? We’ve got that, too.

Review the Great Plains IDEA Glossary.

Students enrolled in Great Plains IDEA programs need to know our common terms. Check the Great Plains IDEA Glossary (coming soon).
