Course Description
Content of this course links management of natural capital to other community-based actions around resource allocation and the impacts on quality of life. Students examine literature on community-based natural resource management and assess alternative ways of valuing natural capital. Students contrast theories of natural capital in communities and human society as the theories relate to community sustainability with regard to economic vitality, social well-being, and ecosystem health.

Course Access
Approximately 2-3 weeks before the first day of class at K-State, the K-State campus coordinator,
Ashley Schultz, will email an instructional course access packet to students for courses taught by K-State. These instructions are also available on the
Visiting Students webpage at K-State. By following the course access instructions, students create their K-State eID and complete the K-State Course Access Form. Students meeting all deadlines for eID creation and submission will have access to Canvas by the first day of class.
