Financial Counseling - This text is available through the NDSU Bookstore. This text is one of the required books for those interested in sitting for the Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) Exam (explained in Unit 1 of this course) and it is an excellent resource on communication and counseling strategies in the financial area.
Surviving Debt: Expert Advice for Getting Out of Financial Trouble - The second text for the course is also required for the AFC exam. It is a good reference for individuals who have not had an undergraduate course in financial counseling and/or have not had experience working as financial counselors or with debt management. It is a useful text if you become involved in the practice of financial counseling and/or dealing with practical questions: from individuals struggling with their finances. nclc.org
