Course Description
Introduction to the theory, principles, and practices of sustainability. Examination of
environmental, social, and economic sustainability at both the global and apparel and textile
industry levels. Exploration of innovative practices and social change strategies for the
furtherance of sustainability.

Course Access
Approximately 2-3 weeks before the first day of class at K-State, the K-State campus coordinator, Ashley Schultz, will email course access instructions to visiting students for courses taught by K-State. These instructions are also available on the Visiting Students webpage at K-State. By following the course access instructions, visiting students create their K-State eID and complete the K-State Course Access Form. Students meeting all deadlines for eID creation and submission will have access to Canvas by the first day of class.

The Great Plains IDEA program has allowed me the flexibility to continue my education while also being a full-time extension agent and mother to twin boys. The program has given me the opportunity to interact with students and teaching professionals from various universities that I may have never met. This program has allowed me to focus not only on my education but also on my profession and family and for that, I will be forever grateful.
