Barbara Allison is an associate professor and teacher educator in the family and consumer sciences education program at Texas Tech University. She is the coordinator of the family and consumer sciences student teaching program. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in methods of teaching, curriculum development, adult education, university teaching, and adolescent growth and development. Her research focus is on effective instructional strategies for culturally diverse students and English language learners.
