Carrie Michel has been a clinical dietitian for over 23 years. She currently works at the University of Kansas School of Medicine as a clinical dietitian and research associate in the Excercise, Diet, Genitourinary, and Endocrinology (EDGE) Research Laboratory. She is responsible for clinical study visits, assists with education and training of graduate students and medical students and works with the team in the compilation of research data. Michel is a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian.
She has worked with cancer patients and their families for over 13 years and has maintained her Board Certification as a Specialist in Oncology Nutrition since 2009. In addition, her focus has been in the area of nutrition support, and she earned the credential of Certified Nutrition Support Clinician in 2014. She graduated with a Master of Science in human nutrition with magna cum laude distinction from Colorado State University in 1996.
