Charlotte Shoup Olsen is a professor and Extension specialist with the School of Family Studies and Human Services at Kansas State University and K-State Cooperative Extension Service. Her areas of emphasis are familial dynamics and relationships within the context of their living environments, family systems of all kinds, intercultural relationships and competencies and farm family communication and transition issues.
She has been involved with international and cross-cultural programming throughout her professional career as well and has an ongoing research focus on determining the impact of community-based educational programming initiatives. In 2014, Olsen received the U.S. Department of Agriculture/National Institute of Food and Agriculture Division of Family and Consumer Sciences National Career Impact Award.
