Cindy Miller has been an educator for 29 years. Eleven of those years were at the secondary level where she taught business and computer education. Then she served for 13 years as a district Career and Technical Education Coordinator and, for 12 of those 13 years, served as a regional representative on the Career and Technology Association of Texas’ Board of Directors. Her remaining years in education have been at the postsecondary level as doctoral student/research associate/teaching assistant for four years in Family and Consumer Sciences Education (FCSE) and now as a teacher educator. She has experience teaching a variety of FCSE undergraduate and graduate courses in such topic areas as career preparation, curriculum development, assessment/evaluation, administration/supervision and leadership.
Miller is actively engaged in scholarship through publishing and presenting at international, national, state and regional conferences. She is currently serving a three-year term as journal editor for the Texas Business and Technology Educators Association, and she is a manuscript reviewer for the Family and Consumer Sciences Research Journal and Journal of Technical Careers in Research.
