Jessica McQueston is an assistant professor in the teacher education program at North Dakota State University. She began teaching for the Great Plains IDEA program in 2020 within the Family and Consumer Sciences Education program. She earned her Ph.D. in special education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Previously, she was a K-6 special educator, general educator, and literacy specialist in New Mexico for six years.
McQueston’s research interest looks to identify and address the barriers to inclusive education, particularly for students with the most extensive support needs. In 2018, she received the inaugural Forward in Access Award for providing an inclusive campus environment for students with disabilities on the University of Wisconsin- Madison campus.
