Jessie Piper's professional interests are stress, resilience, and resources as they relate to grandfamilies -- grandparents with the responsibility of raising their grandchildren. She believes that because society often relies on grandparents to change their life trajectory to take care of children, we should provide the support they need and want so that they survive and thrive. Piper is passionate about using research to inform policy, to engage the public, and to support families and the practitioners who work with them.
