Larisa Callaway-Cole (she/her) is an assistant professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Science at Oklahoma State University. Prior, Callaway-Cole spent several years teaching in early childhood and higher education contexts throughout California. She has an Ed.D. in educational leadership from a joint doctoral program between California State University Channel Islands and Fresno State University. Callaway-Cole’s research interests focus on the dynamic counternarratives of minoritized children and families in her community, specifically regarding the power of storying and prioritizing loving-relationality in research methodologies.
