Tara Lynne Clapp is an instructor with the Department of Community and Regional Planning at Iowa State University, and she is a private consultant. Her practice is primarily with non-profit and community capacity building with clients that include environmental, social and arts sectors.
She left full-time academic work in 2011 to devote more time to her professional practice. She regularly teaches "Sustainable Communities" from the perspective that a community can only thrive with a healthy economy, a rich and diverse culture and a resilient environment.
