North Carolina State University Traditions

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at North Carolina State University strives to help citizens benefit from what they discover and develop so that can extend into the communities and fields across the state, nation, and world.

NCSU’s Free Expression Tunnel, a central campus pedestrian tunnel under railroad tracks, is open for anyone to decorate.  It’s painted daily.

The Brickyard, an expanse of patterned red and white brick, is where organizations provide services and build community.  Head to the Brickyard at the heart of the NCSU campus and you might see a blood drive, Earth Day celebration, or a farmers market. The courtyard name is officially University Plaza.
