Biography

Steven Krauss is an associate professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Science at the University of Missouri. As a 4-H state specialist in volunteerism and youth-adult partnerships, Krauss studies the processes that drive positive youth development. Informed by over two decades of experience in Southeast Asia, his research focuses on the impact of developmental relationships on empowerment, connection, and purpose among diverse young individuals.

Krauss currently serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Adolescent Research and Frontiers in Psychology. His research has been published in the Journal of Youth and Adolescence, Youth & Society, the Journal of Adolescent Research, and the Journal of Applied Developmental Psychology.
