Katie Burke teaches and advises students in agricultural communications and journalism at Kansas State University. Her teaching areas are environmental communication, strategic communication, and principles of layout and design.
With a background in natural resource management related to water and soil, Burke also has an extension appointment that revolves around communication strategies for environmental and conservation efforts. These strategies include communication’s role in landowner decision-making, outreach strategies for watershed management, and partnerships in natural resource conservation.
Burke enjoys outdoorsy activities with her husband, David, and is proud to call Pennsylvania her home state.
