Biography

Ron Werner-Wilson began his teaching career as an assistant professor at Western Michigan University (1993-1995). He later became an assistant professor and director of the Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic at Colorado State University (1995-1998); an assistant and associate professor at Iowa State University (1998-2007), where he was Director of the Marriage and Family Therapy Program; and a professor in the Family Sciences Department at the University of Kentucky (2007-2022), where he served as the Chellgren Endowed Professor for Research and Department Chair (2007-2020).

Werner-Wilson currently serves as the dean of the College of Human Sciences and Education at North Dakota State University (2022-present). His research has focused on two areas: (1) adolescence, and (2) marriage and family therapy process.
