Biography

Kendra Spaeth is a senior research associate in the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition at the University of Kansas Medical Center.  She completed her undergraduate degree in public health nutrition at Kansas State University and her dietetic internship and master’s degree in dietetics and nutrition at the University of Kansas Medical Center. 

After graduating in 2003, she worked as a research assistant at the University of Kansas--Lawrence before joining the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition at the University of Kansas Medical Center as a research associate.  Her research involvement includes issues such as weight loss, dietary fat consumption, dairy consumption, brain health in aging, and diabetic neuropathy, among others, in populations spanning elementary-aged children to senior citizens. 

In the summer of 2013, she took the role of campus coordinator and advisor for Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance students admitted to the dietetics program at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
